ANTENATAL (BEFORE BUB ARRIVES)

Education and support, including a personalised detailed breastfeeding plan. Review of health history and discussion of specific concerns: eg. previous breastfeeding experience issues, breast surgery history, inverted nipples etc...

POSTNATAL (AFTER BUB ARRIVES)

Up to 2 hours. In-person consult for postnatal breastfeeding education and support. Includes reviewing pregnancy, birth and breastfeeding history and providing a personalised breastfeeding plan. If needed also includes referrals, first laser therapy session, bubs oral function assessment and 2 weeks support via text.

FOLLOW UP CONSULTS

Ongoing education, support, review of breastfeeding plan, assessing ongoing concerns, and completing letters/referrals if needed.

*VIRTUAL CONSULTATIONS

Are available upon request via phone/video as needed and subject to availability.

We recommend booking your initial consultation at approximately 36 weeks gestation followed up by one or two postnatal appointments which can be pre-booked at your initial appointment. It’s up to you really!

Your initial antenatal and postnatal consultation can take up to two hours. Consecutive appointments usually take 1-2 hours.

We offer home visiting services on Awabakal Country - Newcastle and Lake Macquarie areas within 30 mins drive from Adamstown. I will travel further but a travel fee applies.

Initial consultations are $320 for up to two hours home visit.

Travel charges apply for home visits outside the service area. See above.

Follow up consultations are charged at a rate of $10 per hour.

You may be able to claim some money back through Private Health Insurance depending on your fund and level of cover.

Low level laser therapy is now available - the pricing for these depends on reason for laser and treatment plan etc. On average sessions are between $50-$100 per session. First laser therapy session included in price of postnatal home visit if needed.

Rebates may be available to you and are dependant on your insurer and level of cover. To find out whether you’re eligible to claim on your consultations, please contact your insurer directly.
